The engagement

The AI opportunity audit. Before anything gets built.

An AI opportunity audit is a structured examination of how your company actually operates, done before any technology is chosen, to find where AI and automation would create real leverage. It ends in a ranked build plan with scope, sequence and expected impact. You own the output whether or not we build it.

The intelligence audit

Before we build anything, we learn everything that matters.

AI is only valuable when it understands the environment it operates in. That is why we begin with the company itself. How it makes money, how customers move through it, how employees perform their work, where decisions are made, and what leadership is trying to accomplish.

01 / OBJECTIVES

Goals & KPIs

What is the company trying to achieve, how is success measured today, and what is preventing it?

OUTPUT

  • Goal & constraint map
  • KPI and reporting audit
  • Priority ranking by impact

02 / REVENUE

Revenue & lifecycle

How does revenue actually move through the company, from first contact to renewal?

OUTPUT

  • Revenue motion analysis
  • Drop-off & friction points
  • Lifecycle redesign

03 / OPERATIONS

Operations

Where does work slow down, repeat, break, or depend too heavily on individual employees?

OUTPUT

  • Workflow diagrams
  • Bottleneck inventory
  • Automation roadmap

04 / TECHNOLOGY

Technology

Which systems are useful, which are disconnected, and which capabilities don't exist yet?

OUTPUT

  • Systems architecture
  • Integration strategy
  • Custom development requirements

05 / DATA

Data & knowledge

Where does valuable information live, who can access it, and how can it be used more intelligently?

OUTPUT

  • Data & knowledge map
  • Access architecture
  • Intelligence layer design

06 / DECISIONS

Decisions

Which decisions require human judgment, which can be AI-supported, and which can be automated safely?

OUTPUT

  • Decision inventory
  • AI opportunity matrix
  • Human-in-the-loop design

07 / GROWTH

Growth

Can the current infrastructure support more customers, employees, locations or services?

OUTPUT

  • Growth constraint analysis
  • Scalable infrastructure plan
  • Implementation phases

08 / GOVERNANCE

Risk & governance

What permissions, controls, security requirements and human approvals must be maintained?

OUTPUT

  • Permission structures
  • Governance recommendations
  • Approval workflows

We do not begin by asking which AI tool you want. We begin by understanding what your business needs to become.

What you get

A plan specific enough to build from.

Not a slide deck of AI trends. The deliverable is an operating document that tells you what to change, in what order, and what it should be worth.

01

Current-state business map

How work, money and information actually move through the company today.

02

Ranked opportunity matrix

Every opportunity we found, scored by revenue impact and effort to build.

03

Workflow diagrams

The processes worth changing, drawn as they are and as they should be.

04

Systems architecture

What your technology should look like, including what to keep.

05

Build plan and phases

What to build first, second and third, with scope and sequencing.

06

Governance recommendations

Permissions, approvals and controls, especially where compliance applies.

Questions about the audit

What is an AI opportunity audit?
It is a structured examination of how your company operates, done before any technology is chosen, to determine where AI and automation would actually create leverage. It covers goals, revenue motion, operations, technology, data, decisions, growth and governance, and it ends in a ranked build plan you own.
What is the difference between an AI audit and an AI readiness assessment?
In practice they describe the same engagement. Readiness assessment tends to emphasize whether your data and systems can support AI at all. Opportunity audit emphasizes where the money is. We do both in one pass, because the answer to one changes the answer to the other.
Can the audit tell me I do not need AI?
Yes, and sometimes it does. Occasionally the honest finding is that a process needs fixing before anything intelligent gets layered on top, or that plain automation solves it for a fraction of the cost. We would rather tell you that than sell you a system that cannot pay for itself.
How long does the audit take?
Typically two to four weeks depending on the size of the company and how many systems are involved. Most of that is us doing the work. Your team's time commitment is usually a handful of conversations and access to the systems we need to look at.
Do I have to hire you to build what the audit recommends?
No. The build plan is yours. You can hand it to your own team or another firm and it will still work, because it is written to be executed rather than to lock you in. Most clients ask us to build because we already understand the operation by then, but that is a separate decision.
Who is liable if an AI workflow makes a costly mistake?
This is the right question to ask, and the answer should be designed rather than assumed. We define which decisions require human approval, log what the system did and why, and build the controls into the workflow. High-consequence steps stay under human sign-off by design.
My employees are already using ChatGPT without telling me. What should I do?
Start by assuming it is happening, because it usually is. The audit surfaces where unofficial tools are already in use and what data is going into them. Then we replace the risky version with a sanctioned one that has the right permissions, so you get the productivity without the exposure.

The first call is free

Start with a conversation.

30 minutes, no cost, no deck. If we are not the right fit we will say so on the call and point you somewhere better.

FREE STRATEGY CALL / 30 MINUTES

What happens on the call

  • 01We ask about your goals, your operation and where work actually breaks down.
  • 02We tell you where AI genuinely belongs in your business, and where it does not.
  • 03You leave with a clear opinion on what to build first, whether or not you hire us.

THE FREE CALL IS A CONVERSATION, NOT THE AUDIT. THE FULL INTELLIGENCE AUDIT IS A PAID ENGAGEMENT THAT GOES INSIDE YOUR SYSTEMS, DATA AND WORKFLOWS AND ENDS IN A BUILD PLAN.
